do you remember septermber?
time to reflect on what september was for me in 2010...
i know what i'm thankful for everyday from january to september of this year and i've kept them all in a journal - a thank you journal. i try to think of the best parts of my day and put them on a list and just reflect on what happened that day: who made me happy, who made me smile, what/who got me to and from work. they've always said that it's the little things that matter. they, whoever those people are, were right.
i hate to think that i've been living a mundane existence up to this point and that i've been missing out on some things. i got so jealous when i found out my cousin was going to europe. wow. something i've been dreaming about for so long and now it's happened... to her. huh.
i loved the fact that i've seen friends and caught up: kat, paula, char, liz... i hadn't seen them in months, char for several years! but it was great to have bonding time with your girls. good times.
last talk that i had with my boss she said i was losing momentum and i told her that i've just been in a rut. good thing she pulled me back in and now i have a new determination to be the best this month, this year =) that's the thing with me, i kinda would lose focus sometimes, who doesn't? but i'd like to think that when i'm back, i'm definitely back =) here we go, october!!!!
this has been an awesome year so far and i'll always be thankful to God for everyday that He gives me. He's pretty amazing that way.

He brought me to you
[Christian]
In search of my life and my one true love
I prayed to Almighty God above
And His masterful voice directed me
To the many things I was destined to do
So I sailed across the mighty sea
Pursued knowledge of the highest degree
Took to learning new skills
Experienced new thrills
Felt my life was completely fulfilled
#2
[Christian]
At the end of my amazing quest
After proving myself
By achieving success
I hoped to find the prize so rare
A priceless treasure beyond compare
For God promised He would bring me love
A love without measure, trusting and true
And behold, my dear Sapphire
He brought me to you
He brought me to you
#3
[Sapphire]
In search of my life and my one true love
I prayed to Almighty God above
And His compassionate voice directed me
To the many things I was destined to do
And in my private reverie
I read of lands across the sea
I imagined enchanting hollow and hill
Worlds beyond my window sill
#4
[Sapphire]
And through all of these my fancied quests
I cherish the secrets held close to my breast
I hoped to find the prize so rare
A priceless treasure beyond compare
For God promised He would bring me love
A love without measure, precious and true
And behold, my dear Christian
[C] And behold, my dear Sapphire
[Both]
He brought me to you
He brought me to you
#5
[Both]
My heart knew this without a doubt
That's what destiny's all about
[Christian]
God promised He would bring me love
[Sapphire]
A love strong and true
[Christian]
A promise He fulfilled above
He brought me to you

what everybody should do =)
got this from an email sent by a good friend:
Health:
1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy
5. Make time to pray.
6. Play more games.
7. Read more books than you did in 2009.
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
9. Sleep for 7 hours.
10. Take a 10-30 minutes walk daily. And while you walk, smile.
Personality:
11. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
12. Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
13. Don't over do. Keep your limits.
14. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
16. Dream more while you are awake.
17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
18. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with His/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
20. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
21. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
23. Smile and laugh more.
24. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree...
Society:
25. Call your family often.
26. Each day give something good to others.
27. Forgive everyone for everything.
28. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
29. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
30. What other people think of you is none of your business.
31. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
Life:
32. Do the right thing!
33. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
34. GOD heals everything.
35. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
36. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
37. The best is yet to come.
38. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it.
39. Your Inner most is always happy. So, be happy.

Eminem - Love The Way You Lie ft. Rihanna
great photography, love the look.. my own POV? i think they cast megan fox bec you wouldn't expect a tough chick like her to get beaten up; and dominic is this likeable, sweet guy that you wouldn't expect HIM to be the abuser. it works perfectly. i like that they're playing on the irony of the situation and that it's a powerful enough song to listen to without the video... but the video takes it to a whole other level. i hope it doesn't get lost in translation.
an eminem masterpiece
Just gonna stand there
And watch me burn
But that's alright
Because I like
The way it hurts
Just gonna stand there
And hear me cry
But that's alright
Because I love
The way you lie
I love the way you lie
I love the way you lie
I can't tell you what it really is
I can only tell you what it feels like
And right now there's a steel knife
In my windpipe
I can't breathe
But I still fight
While I can fight
As long as the wrong feels right
It's like I'm in flight
High of a love
Drunk from the hate
It's like I'm huffing paint
And I love it the more that I suffer
I sufficate
And right before im about to drown
She resuscitates me
She fucking hates me
And I love it
Wait
Where you going
I'm leaving you
No you ain't
Come back
We're running right back
Here we go again
It's so insane
Cause when it's going good
It's going great
I'm Superman
With the wind in his back
She's Lois Lane
But when it's bad
It's awful
I feel so ashamed
I snap
Who's that dude
I don't even know his name
I laid hands on her
I'll never stoop so low again
I guess I don't know my own strength
Just gonna stand there
And watch me burn
But that's alright
Because I like
The way it hurts
Just gonna stand there
And hear me cry
But that's alright
Because I love
The way you lie
I love the way you lie
I love the way you lie
You ever love somebody so much
You can barely breathe
When you're with them
You meet
And neither one of you
Even know what hit 'em
Got that warm fuzzy feeling
Yeah them chills
Used to get 'em
Now you're getting fucking sick
Of looking at 'em
You swore you've never hit 'em
Never do nothing to hurt 'em
Now you're in each other's face
Spewing venom
And these words
When you spit 'em
You push
Pull each other's hair
Scratch, claw, bit 'em
Throw 'em down
Pin 'em
So lost in the moments
When you're in 'em
It's the rage that took over
It controls you both
So they say it's best
To go your separate ways
Guess that they don't know ya
Cause today
That was yesterday
Yesterday is over
It's a different day
Sound like broken records
Playin' over
But you promised her
Next time you'll show restraint
You don't get another chance
Life is no Nintendo game
But you lied again
Now you get to watch her leave
Out the window
Guess that's why they call it window pane
Just gonna stand there
And watch me burn
But that's alright
Because I like
The way it hurts
Just gonna stand there
And hear me cry
But that's alright
Because I love
The way you lie
I love the way you lie
I love the way you lie
Now I know we said things
Did things
That we didn't mean
And we fall back
Into the same patterns
Same routine
But your temper's just as bad
As mine is
You're the same as me
But when it comes to love
You're just as blinded
Baby please come back
It wasn't you
Baby it was me
Maybe our relationship
Isn't as crazy as it seems
Maybe that's what happens
When a tornado meets a volcano
All I know is
I love you too much
To walk away though
Come inside
Pick up your bags off the sidewalk
Don't you hear sincerity
In my voice when I talk
Told you this is my fault
Look me in the eyeball
Next time I'm pissed
I'll aim my fist
At the dry wall
Next time
There will be no next time
I apologize
Even though I know it's lies
I'm tired of the games
I just want her back
I know I'm a liar
If she ever tries to fucking leave again
I'mma tie her to the bed
And set the house on fire
Just gonna stand there
And watch me burn
But that's alright
Because I like
The way it hurts
Just gonna stand there
And hear me cry
But that's alright
Because I love
The way you lie
I love the way you lie
I love the way you lie
And watch me burn
But that's alright
Because I like
The way it hurts
Just gonna stand there
And hear me cry
But that's alright

this is your life - switchfoot
Yesterday is a wrinkle on your forehead
Yesterday is a promise that you’ve broken
Don’t close your eyes, don’t close your eyes
This is your life and today is all you’ve got now
Yeah, and today is all you’ll ever have
Don’t close your eyes
Don’t close your eyes
This is your life, are you who you want to be
This is your life, are you who you want to be
This is your life, is it everything you dreamed that it would be
When the world was younger and you had everything to lose
Yesterday is a kid in the corner
Yesterday is dead and over
This is your life, are you who you want to be
This is your life, are you who you want to be
This is your life, is it everything you dreamed that it would be
When the world was younger and you had everything to lose
Don’t close your eyes
Don’t close your eyes
Don’t close your eyes
Don’t close your eyes
This is your life are you who you want to be
This is your life are you who you want to be
This is your life, are you who you want to be
This is your life, are you who you want to be
This is your life, is it everything you dreamed it would be
When the world was younger and you had everything to lose
And you had everything to lose
Yesterday is a promise that you’ve broken
Don’t close your eyes, don’t close your eyes
This is your life and today is all you’ve got now
Yeah, and today is all you’ll ever have
Don’t close your eyes
Don’t close your eyes

This is your life, are you who you want to be
This is your life, is it everything you dreamed it would be
When the world was younger and you had everything to lose
And you had everything to lose
let me go - 3 doors down
One more kiss could be the best thing
But one more lie could be the worst
And all these thoughts are never resting
And you're not something I deserve
In my head there's only you now
This world falls on me
In this world there's real and make believe
And this seems real to me
[Chorus]
You love me but you don't know who I am
I'm torn between this life I lead and where I stand
And you love me but you don't know who I am
So let me go
Let me go
I dream ahead to what I hope for
And I turn my back on loving you
How can this love be a good thing
When I know what I'm goin through
In my head there's only you now
This world falls on me
In this world there's real and make believe
And this seems real to me
[Chorus]
You love me but you don't know who I am
I'm torn between this life I lead and where I stand
You love me but you don't know who I am
So let me go
Just Let me go...
Let me go
And no matter how hard I try
I can't escape these things inside I know
I knowww..
When all the pieces fall apart
You will be the only one who knows
Who knows
[Chorus]
You love me but you don't know who I am
I'm torn between this life I lead and where I stand
And you love me but you don't know Who I am
So let me go
Just let me go
And you love me but you don't
You love me but you don't
You love me but you don't know who I am

one more day - vast
this was played in season 7 of smallville, veritas. the song is even more powerful and really kicks you in the gut once you see the episode. it plays at the very end and was so perfectly complemented the scene between the two leads. it was awesome ♥
Have you heard
Have you tried to understand
It's all right
It gets easier with time
How are you
Are you ever coming back
I have changed
And I've realized I was wrong
I was wrong
Now I'll never see your face anymore
Oh my Love
I'd give anything for one more day with you
I'm getting through
I wish you felt the way I do
I have changed
And I've realized I was wrong
I was wrong
Now I'll never see your face anymore
Oh my love
I'd give anything for one more day with you
I was wrong
I was wrong
Now I'll never see your face anymore
Oh my love
I'd do anything for one more day with you
I'd do anything for one more day with you
I'd give anything for one more day with you
Have you heard
Have you tried to understand
It's all right
It gets easier with time
How are you

haunting smallville song: pioneer to the falls by interpol
I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THIS SONG!
Show me the dirt pile
And I will pray that the soul can take
Three stowaways
Vanish with no guile
And I will not pay
But the soul can wait
The soul can wait
It's still pretty
What with all these weeks
We’ll be fine
We’ll be fine
But if it’s still pretty
What with all these weeks
Will we find love
And supervise
Show me the dirt pile
And I will pray that the soul can take
Three stowaways
And you vanish with no guile
And I will not pay
But the soul can wait
I felt you so much today
Oh no, you try
You fly straight into my heart
You fly straight into my heart
Girl, I know you try
You fly straight into my heart
You fly straight into my heart
But here comes the fall...
So much for me believing that sorrow
So much for dreams we see but never care to know
Your heart makes me feel
Your heart makes me moan
For always and ever, I'll never let go
Always concealed
Safe and inside, alive!
Show me the dirt pile
And I will pray that the soul can take
Three stowaways
In a passion it broke
I pull the black from the grey
But the soul can wait
I felt you so much today...
Show me the dirt pile
And I will pray that the soul can take
Three stowaways
Vanish with no guile
And I will not pay
But the soul can wait
The soul can wait
It's still pretty
What with all these weeks
We’ll be fine
We’ll be fine
But if it’s still pretty
What with all these weeks
Will we find love
And supervise
Show me the dirt pile
And I will pray that the soul can take
Three stowaways
And you vanish with no guile
And I will not pay
But the soul can wait
I felt you so much today
Oh no, you try
You fly straight into my heart
You fly straight into my heart
Girl, I know you try
You fly straight into my heart
You fly straight into my heart
But here comes the fall...
So much for me believing that sorrow
So much for dreams we see but never care to know
Your heart makes me feel
Your heart makes me moan
For always and ever, I'll never let go
Always concealed
Safe and inside, alive!
Show me the dirt pile
And I will pray that the soul can take
Three stowaways
In a passion it broke
I pull the black from the grey
But the soul can wait
I felt you so much today...

dear love...
i write to you now, remembering what it was like when we were together and what i would have given to keep those moments alive. the pain of losing you, of knowing you're in the arms of another will forever haunt me until my dying day.
the days we spent laughing, looking with and at each other will be relived everyday - in my subconsciousness and in daydreaming. the last embrace is cherished. the first kiss was unbelievable. how i ache. how i wish. how i wonder.

passion from an interesting POV
Passion... it lies in all of us. Sleeping, waiting, and though unwanted, unbidden, it will stir, open its jaws, and howl. It speaks to us, guides us... passion rules us all. And we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments; the joy of love, the clarity of hatred, and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank... without passion, we'd be truly dead.

salt-y goodness on a weekend
i had seen salt before i got to watch inception last friday and i have to say, that was the way to go. if i had seen inception before salt, i think i would have been completely disappointed. nothing against salt, i loved it - but inception is a whole other level of movie making (see previous blog).
what impressed me about salt the most though was angelina herself. the script was good, a little predictable (i was able to guess her true identity and some of the plot points, but not the bunk scene) but it worked to her advantage. it was kinda like a female version of the bourne identity, though in reverse. besides all of that, angelina was right on on everything - from the look to the accent to the action stunts. those were the most impressive! there was a scene where she starts to climb a wall and then kicks against it to stick it to a guard. THAT was cool!
i liked how she played it DOWN, not exaggerated the role. if anybody else had done the part, i think it would have fallen flat on its face, and all the awesome action sequences would have gone to waste. angelina made it work and she never faltered with the story.
i REALLY loved the ending. i wasn't expecting it, and that was the best thing about it. i have to say that british actor chiwetel ejiofor stole the show. i absolutely LOVED him! you should look him up and watch another one of his movies... first time i saw him was on love actually =)
i didn't know there was news about a russian spy that surprisingly came after the movie premiered - eerie coincidence? i'll leave it to the conspiracy theorists out there. but i have to say that this was a really fun ride all throughout. another must-see from ms. jolie ♥

protect your thoughts
"Never recreate from your memory. Always imagine new places." - inception
let me start by saying what i've tweeted and raved about in facebook about this movie: never before have i been subjected to pure genius and excellence in film-making. ever.
i saw inception right after i saw salt today... i was completely blown away and was in a jovial mood right after i'd seen it. i mean, it was a momentous day for me; after being couped up at home for almost a week with nothing to do but watch tv, tweet and update my facebook status. i had just gotten bangs again and had my hair colored: red. well, mahogany with a touch of red. that in itself made me over the moon already but add watching two of the most didactically-conceived, very well-written, fantastically-directed and VERY WELL-ACTED movies in a LONG time and it's like being shot with adrenaline. side-effect: blogging because i just. can't. sleep. ha!
back to inception (salt will have a separate "review" to follow)... when i first heard/saw anything about this movie, it was from a trailer released last year that had the usual eye-catching imagery and enough narration from mr. dicaprio to make me WANT to watch the movie. the special effects had no effect whatsoever. then i saw the CAST. leo was the hook and nolan was the line; guess who was the sinker? yep. good ol' regular joe himself! my GAWD! when i saw him in the trailer, i went like, ape-shit bananas! i was literally jumping up and down my room screaming at the tv. and admit it you hypocritical wise ass - you do that too when you see two of your long-time crushes (cough - obsessions - cough) onscreen TOGETHER, making what looked like a good time in hell type of movie.
so i waited for almost a year, getting teased with trailers #2 and #3 along the way and being bombarded with pictures of the cast on location, filming. and then finally i got to watch it tonight - on IMAX nonetheless; and now words fail me. speechless would be an understatement. i'm just typing now because i have the irrevocable NEED to purge myself of thoughts, incoherent as they may be, of this frickin' movie! so now my "thoughts" on this wonderful perfection of a picture.
1. watch from the very beginning. yes, it's one of THOSE movies. you HAVE to watch it from the very beginning in order to a)exercise your mind and b) make those brain muscles work, will ya! everything, and i mean EVERYTHING has a definitive correlation to each other in this film. it's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kind of things and your movie-going experience will be ruined if you come into the theater a few minutes late.
2. leo. was. unbelievably. intoxicatingly. fantastically. awesome. it's like awesomeness to the nth power, as barney stinson would say. infinitely awesome. yes. to carry a film this humongous would daunt anybody; but not leo. and his consistency of choosing roles and films that are unforgettable and powerful, just plain amazes me each time. he has a knack for it. name me 5 movies in the last 10 years that flopped with leo's name attached to it. what's that? none? well...
3. christopher nolan is a god. no, really, he is. where ELSE would something so fantastical, so rich and detailed and beholden capture an entire generation's attention but here and now with this brilliant filmmaker? i say filmmaker and not director mainly because i felt that he didn't direct anybody here, he merely made a film, and a beautiful one at that. i have to be honest: i hadn't seen memento nor batman begins, hence i'm a novice at the nolan school of brilliant plot-twisting. but what i've seen so far (dark knight and inception) has made me just stand up and cheer for this man of many sub-level thoughts. genius wouldn't even cover it, i think.
4. my favorite supporting actor: joseph gordon-levitt. he held his own alongside leo, and that's something i will forever be proud of him for that =) the way that he embodied his character and just was THAT CHARACTER instead of leo's sidekick was just smooth. i think it had a lot to do with the way he looked and how that came into play with him being this slightly dark, really sexy and cute assassin/trained inceptor/wingman... HOT! he just oozed sex and wit and sex and evil and sex. yah, he does that to me.
5. so on to one of my now top 4 actresses of all-time: ellen page. considering she's fourth to kate winslet and nicole kidman and angelina jolie, i'd say that pretty much sums up why i think she's deserving of such an accolade. acting toe-to-toe with leo is no easy feat. he's one of the most celebrated actors of our time, and rightfully so. but ms. page was able to hold her own against him and i thought that was just impressive, in it of itself. she never faltered and stayed strong - she was one of the boys =) i can see how electric her scenes with leo were and i had chills just watching it - got chills now! i'm not envious because she got to be in intimate scenes with leo and got to kiss JGL - i RESPECT her. it takes a lot to get that.
6. the other supporting actors: cillian murphy, ken watanabe, tom hardy (whom i'd never seen anywhere before), marion cotillard were all very exceptional. special mention to cotillard as she was the most shocking part of the movie. she portrayed it unlike how i had expected that type of character to have been interpreted: yes, she was pained, yes, she came from a place of confusion and sadness, but she worked it so that it didn't actually SEEM that way. very devious and very well-executed. michael caine's part was not something i liked, but it made sense having him in the film.
inception will make you think - that's my favorite thing about it. because it's so spectacular, because it's so mind-blowing, it's easy to fall into the cracks and just be amazed by the visual effects. but this did more than just that - it made me feel ALIVE. it awakened in me something that i had not felt for a long time in a film: desire. the desire to properly analyze, think ahead, guess what's going to happen, make the wheels turn. i could swear that the puzzle pieces were just clinking into place while i was watching and that made me feel high. i felt so smart! =)
totally understandable how you can get caught up and just blabber on and on about something, but getting caught up in the wonderful web of inception is something that i'd welcome anytime. so do yourself a favor and watch it. then watch it again. then again. and then again. sweet dreams everyone!

airplanes - b.o.b. and hayley williams
Can we pretend that airplanes
In the night sky
Are like shooting stars
I could really use a wish right now
Wish right now, wish right now
Can we pretend that airplanes
In the night sky
Are like shooting stars
I could really use a wish right now
Wish right now, Wish right now
[B.o.B - Verse 1]
Yeah
I could use a dream or a genie or a wish
To go back to a place much simpler than this
'Cause after all the partyin'
The smashin' and crashin'
And all the glitz and the glam and the fashion
And all the pandemonium and all the madness
There comes a time when you fade to the blackness
And when you're starin' at that phone in yo' lap
And hopin', but them people never call you back
But that's just how the story unfolds
You get another hand
Soon after you fold
And when your plans unravel in the sand
What would you wish for if you had one chance?
So airplanes airplanes
Sorry I'm late
I'm on my way
So don't close that gate
If I don't make that
Then I switch my flight
And I'll be right back at it
By the end of the night
[Hayley Williams - Chorus]
Can we pretend that airplanes
In the night sky
Are like shooting stars
I could really use a wish right now
Wish right now, wish right now
Can we pretend that airplanes
In the night sky
Are like shooting stars
I could really use a wish right now
Wish right now, wish right now
[B.o.B - Verse 2]
Yeah
Yeah
Somebody take me back to the days
Before this was a job
Before I got paid
Before it ever mattered what I had in my bank
Yeah back when I was tryin' to get a tip at Subway
And back when I was rappin' for the hell of it
But now days we rappin' to stay relevant
I'm guessin' that if we can make some wishes out of airplanes
Then maybe oh maybe I'll go back to the days
Before the politics that we call the rap game
And back when ain't nobody listened to my mix tapes
And back before I tried to cover up my slate
But this is for Decatur
What's up Bobby Ray?
So can I get a wish to end the politics
And get back to the music that started this shit
So here I stand
And then again I say
I'm hopin' we can make some wishes outta airplanes
[Hayley Williams - Chorus]
Can we pretend that airplanes
In the night sky
Are like shooting stars
I could really use a wish right now
Wish right now, wish right now
Can we pretend that airplanes
In the night sky
Are like shooting stars

Wake up look me in the eyes again
I need to feel your hand upon my face
Words can relay nice
They can cut you open
And the silence surrounds you
and hunts you
I think I might’ve inhale you
I could feel you behind my eyes
You gotten into my bloodstream
I could feel you floating in me
Words can relay nice
They can cut you open
And the silence surrounds you

I think I might’ve inhale you
I could feel you behind my eyes
You gotten into my bloodstream
I could feel you floating in me
The spaces in between
Two minds and all the places they have been
The spaces in between

it is what it is - lifehouse
I was only looking for a shortcut home
But it’s complicated
So complicated
Somewhere in this city is a road I know
Where we could make it
But maybe there’s no making it now
Too long we’ve been denying
Now we’re both tired of trying
We hit a wall and we can’t get over it
Nothing to relive
It’s water under the bridge
You said it, I get it
I guess it is what it is
I was only trying to bury the pain
But I made you cry and I can’t stop the crying
Was only trying to save me
But I lost you again
Now there’s only lying
Wish I could say it’s only me
Too long we’ve been denying
Now we’re both tired of trying
We hit a wall and we can’t get over it
Nothing to relive
It’s water under the bridge
You said it, I get it
I guess it is what it i
Here it comes ready or not
We both found out it’s not how we thought
That it would be, how it would be
If the time could turn us around
What once was lost may be found
For you and me, for you and me
Too long we’ve been denying
Now we’re both tired of trying

someday
Someday you’re gonna realize
One day you’ll see this through my eyes
By then I won’t even be there
I’ll be happy somewhere
Even if I cared
I know you don’t really see my worth
You think you’re the last guy on earth
Well I’ve got news for you
I know I’m not that strong
But it won’t take long
Won’t take long
'Coz Someday someone’s gonna love me
The way I wanted you to need me
Someday someone’s gonna take your place
One day I’ll forget about you
You'll see, I won't even miss you
Someday someday
Right now I know you can tell
I’m down and I’m not doing well
But one day these tears they will all run dry
I won’t have to cry, sweet goodbye
Coz' someday someone’s gonna love me
The way I wanted you to need me
Someday someone’s gonna take your place
oohh.. One day I’ll forget about you
You'll see, I won't even miss you
someday, i know someone's gonna be there
Someday someone’s gonna love me

each tear lyrics
There’s something that I want to say,
But I feel like don’t know how.
Still I just can’t hold it one more day,
So I think I let it out.
You’re on my mind more than I may sure
You’re in my heart more than you may know
And the last thing that I want,
Is to you to fall apart.
To you I will be clearer,
I want you to remember.
In each tear
there’s a lesson, (there’s a lesson)
Make you wiser than before ( wiser)
Makes you stronger than you know (stronger)
In each tear (each tear)
Bring you closer to your dreams
No mistake, no heartbreak
Can take away what your meant to be
We can’t change the things,
That we done that’s in the past.
But fighting won’t get us anyway.
So if you want, Here’s my hand
Every night there is one thing I do
I bow my head and pray for you (pray for you)
And the last thing that I want,
Is for you to fall apart
To you I will be clearer
I want you to remember
In each tear
there’s a lesson, (there’s a lesson)
Makes you wiser than before (wiser)
Makes you stronger than you know (stronger)
In each tear (each tear)
Bring you closer to your dreams
No mistake, no heartbreak
Can take away what your meant to be
Your much more than a struggle that you go trough
From nine till five I open things so let it go ??
You’ re not a victim, your more like a winner
And you’re not defeat you’ re more like a queen

Supernatural Ending
from http://www.tv.com/supernaturals-fitting-farewell/story/22939.html
It had to end this way, you understand that, right? Supernatural, despite its false reputation as another teen drama on the CW, has rarely dumbed itself down and delivered something that felt out of place in its season enders.
Show creator Eric Kripke's vision of Supernatural ran for five seasons and five seasons only, and Thursday's episode, "Swan Song" sure felt like a series finale even though the show will live to see Season 6 (although it will do so without Kripke, who will hand over the title of showrunner to executive producer Sera Gamble).
We always knew the apocalypse was coming, and that Sam and Dean would have to make great sacrifices to prevent Lucifer from walking the Earth and making us all his bitch. And that's what we got: Sam was headed for a pit in Hell to endure the worst thing imaginable for eternity, and Dean—his job done and brother lost—was off to live the "good" life, even though he'd always be haunted by the knowledge of what went down in that cemetery in Kansas.
That is, until a few major events spun everything on its head.
Kripke, speaking through his own vessel in prophet Chuck, acknowledged that while any moron can start a story, it takes a lot more effort to end one. Kripke also understands that endings can never satisfy everyone, and there's no doubt that some fans will have their issues with "Swan Song." But what Kripke did splendidly was leave much of what really happened open to interpretation, resulting in a beautiful final moment for Supernatural and one of the most satisfying season/series finales in recent memory.
In the climax of "Swan Song," Sam said "yes" to Lucifer, allowing the Prince of the Netherworld to take his body with the hopes of retaking control and swan-diving into Lucifer's lock box, imprisoning Satan in Hell until some other nitwits accidentally set him free again. Things didn't go according to plan (understatement of the year), and Cas was blown to angel bits, Bobby had his neck snapped, and Dean ended up with a face full of LuSamfer's fist. (Side note: I was barely able to even watch Jensen Ackles' Elephant Man face—horrifying!)
But what happened next was beautiful: Somewhere deep inside Lucifer, Sam began to take control, and we were treated to a spectacular montage of Sam and Dean through the years. Sam ultimately wrestled back control of his body, opened the gate to Lucifer's prison, and was about to jump for it when the archangel Michael returned, ready to fight his brother to the death. Instead, they both hurtled into Hell, the chasm closed, and Dean was left alone for a very uncomfortable moment.
Sam and Dean's relationship is eerily similar, on several levels, to Lucifer and Michael's, but there are key differences that set them apart. Lucifer and Sam were both cast away (or cast themselves away) and had a troubled relationship with their fathers. Dean and Michael were eternally loyal to their fathers, possibly to a fault. But while Michael recognized that his brother had become something of a monster and wanted to destroy him, Dean saw Sam's strange powers and demon-blood-drinking addiction and stuck with him to the bitter end, doing all he could. Ahhh, humans.
Ever since the Winchester brothers were pegged as the vessels for Lucifer and Michael, I've been dying to see how things would end up. And I'm glad Supernatural didn't take the wimpy way out.
Kripke has always said the show is really about these two brothers and little more, and through tear-soaked eyes we were reminded of that via the multiple montages, which relived the good and bad from the past five seasons. Even with the fate of the world hanging in the balance, my heart was going out to these two brothers whose long road came to an end with gut-wrenching choices.
But the episode did not end there. Two major things happened after we thought all was said and done, and they're what kept us up last night wondering. We saw Chuck wrap up his story of the Winchesters, and with a snap, he disappeared. Then, as Dean began his new, normal life with Lisa, Sam shows up in the front yard.
Let's talk about the Chuck thing first. One of the more interesting theories is that Chuck is actually God, and he's been pulling strings for the brothers for a while now, in order to arrive at the events of last night. Think about it; Chuck has literally been writing Sam and Dean's stories for some time, through his prophet for profit job as the author of their fanfic books. Ultimately, he wrote their endings how he wanted.
But here's another idea. What if Chuck isn't God, but instead he's a son of God (Jesus, or whoever). If you recall, Dean called Chuck for information, and Chuck answered the phone expecting "Mistress Magda." Magda, as in a shortened name for Magdalene, as in Mary Magdalene, as in the woman who is reputed to have had a relationship with Jesus. Is it possible that God sent him to Earth to watch over the Winchesters and help them through this problem? And once his work was done, POOF, he could disappear and go back to heaven?
Throughout it all, it seemed as though Chuck was enjoying himself and could have written the Winchesters' fortunes as he saw fit. And the courage and determination that the brothers showed in the end proved to Chuck that humans were worth saving, as opposed to the angels, who were driven by revenge and anger. Just a thought.
As for Sam's final appearance, well, that seems even more open to interpretation. But I'll give it a shot: The Sam in the yard at the end was indeed Sam, and Lucifer is still in his prison. But Sam's trepidation wasn't only due to his not wanting to screw up what may be Dean's ideal life; just as Dean was in Hell for 40-some-odd years that felt like four months to the rest of the world, Sam may've been in Hell for a much longer period than we think. And he's just been sprung from the joint by a higher power, perhaps as a gesture of good will. Hey, it happened to Dean, why not Sam?
Other theories floating around are that Sam is now an angel, or that it wasn't Sam at all, but Lucifer. That one goes something like this: Lucifer never actually went into the box. If you'll remember in "Hammer of the Gods," Lucifer reminded Gabriel that he taught him everything he knows, including his little holographic-clone trick. Lucifer made himself appear to be standing over the pit to Hell, and Michael took the bait and fell into the hole with the "fake" Lucifer. The result: Lucifer's main nemesis is stuck in Hell and he can roam the Earth without fear.
However, the real reason behind Sam's reappearance may be more connected to show getting a sixth season than it is the overall mystery of Season 5. But if you ask me, there's a strong case to be made that the show should end right where it is. No Season 6. That's it. "Swan Song" should be the end of Supernatural.
The great thing about "Swan Song" is that we fans can all come up with our own theories, and barring any major oversights, we can all be right. It's the best way that a show can fade to black yet live on in our discussions. To Eric Kripke and the rest of the Supernatural crew, a hearty thank you for delivering a splendid season and a spectacular finish. We'll be talking about it for a long time.
Side Notes... from Hell!:
... Strong acting all around, particularly by Jared Padalecki. It's always fun to see him play Satan.
... Having Chuck narrate the finale was particularly fitting. Chuck served as Kripke's mouthpiece; let's not forget that this whole thing is his baby, and having his voice throughout was A-OK with me.
... Cas has his powers back, and I forgot how badass he is with his superjuice. Does this now mean Castiel takes over the post of top dog in Heaven? Perhaps he can teach those angels a thing or two about being human.
... Assbutt. That is all.

Grew up in a town that is famous as the place of movie scenes
Noise is always loud, there are sirens all around and the streets are mean
If I can make it here, I can make it anywhere, that's what they say
Seeing my face in lights or my name in marquees found down on Broadway
Even if it ain’t all it seems, I got a pocketful of dreams
Baby, I'm from New York
Concrete jungle where dreams are made of
There's nothing you can't do
Now you're in New York
These streets will make you feel brand new
Big lights will inspire you
Hear it for New York, New York, New Yoooork!
On the avenue, there ain't never a curfew, ladies work so hard
Such a melting pot, on the corner selling rock, preachers pray to God
Hail a gypsy cab, takes me down from Harlem to the Brooklyn Bridge
Some will sleep tonight with a hunger for more than an empty fridge
I'm gonna make it by any means, I got a pocketful of dreams
Baby, I'm from New York
Concrete jungle where dreams are made of
There's nothing you can't do

Big lights will inspire you
Hear it for New York, New York, New Yoooork!
One hand in the air for the big city,
Street lights, big dreams all looking pretty
No place in the world that can compare
Put your lighters in the air, everybody say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
In New York
Concrete jungle where dreams are made of

high and low - greg laswell
I'm going to see some friends from out of state
The very trip that you were supposed to take a while
ago
But it fell through
Like all of you
Like all of you
Thought I'd make the drive but a free plane ride is in
the air
And just like that my fear of it disappeared
Like all of you
Like all of you
And I look high and low for yesterday
High and low for you and I
High and low
Once I can see straight I might move somewhere cold
Seattle or the bay area, to see your ghost
What's left of you
What's left of you
And I look high and low for yesterday
High and low for you and I
High and low
Found a letter from a man I might have met, addressed
to you
And I'll steal the words he ended with:
I miss you
And I do
Miss you
And I do
High and low for yesterday
High and low for you and I
High and low
The very trip that you were supposed to take a while
ago
But it fell through
Like all of you
Like all of you
Thought I'd make the drive but a free plane ride is in

favorite song right now
Heavenly Day
Oh Heavenly day
All the clouds blew away
Got no trouble today
With anyone
The smile on your face
I live only to see
It's enough for me baby
It's enough for me
Oh heavenly day
Heavenly day
Heavenly day
Tomorrow may rain with sorrow
Here's a little time we can borrow
Forget all our troubles in these moments so few
Oh we can right now the only thing that all that we really have to do
Is have ourselves a heavenly day
Lay here and watch the trees sway
Oh can't see no other way
No way
No way
Heavenly day heavenly day heavenly day
No one on my shoulder
Bringing me fears
Got no clouds up above me
Bringing me tears
Got nothing to tell you
I got nothing much to say
Only I'm glad to be here with you
On this heavenly heavenly heavenly heavenly heavenly day
Oh all the troubles gone away
Oh for awhile anyway
For awhile anyway
Heavenly day
Heavenly day
Heavenly day

lea salonga: a true filipino heroine
why is lea salonga such an inspiration to millions of filipinos? ok, i can't speak for those millions, but i'll tell you why she's an inspiration to ME (not that anybody would read this). as i write this, i'm eating pizza and listening to lea's live concert on youtube singing disney songs =)
while i was browsing through youtube videos i could watch to pass the time months ago, i stumbled upon the making of the musical miss saigon. for a music-loving filipino, this is considered gold =) it's an 8-part series on the said website, and it recounts how Alain Boublil and Claude-Michael Schönberg went on a quest to find their kim - the 17-year old vietnamese girl forced to prostitute herself to G.I.'s during the vietnam war. i didn't realize that they conducted a worldwide search for this role - that just makes me extra proud of lea's accomplishment; that she nabbed this once in a lifetime role from hundreds, if not thousands of aspiring girls from all over.
when miss saigon hit it big in london and then had subsequent showings in broadway and eventually won her the laurence olivier award and tony award for best actress, she never looked back. i remember watching snippets of the show on channel 4 when i was a kid, then seeing her sing the national anthem for a farewell show with corazon aquino. this was a big deal for us, the first ever filipina who was not a politician nor had scandal to her name be recognized as a TALENT and a national treasure for all to see.
the very first time i went to new york city was 1992, miss saigon was playing and my aunt who lived in flushing took me to see it. i can still smell the biting cold wind while we walked from her house to broadway. the warmth of the theater, the excitement i felt while being seated in one of the balcony seats. i looked on feverishly from the top looking down below to the people anticipating a great show. then the piano starts and the show begins. it wasn't lea salonga who was kim in this matinee show, but i loved every single moment. the whole time i thought this was what she was living - the american dream.
the years that lea spent abroad were years of despondency in the local singing and acting industries. but whenever she'd come back to promote an album or invite people to a concert she'd staged for a benefit or otherwise, she's always been regarded with the utmost respect and adoration.
her wedding was televised - i cried when her husband cried, i cried when she cried. good times =) i guess having lived a life in the spotlight doesn't really mean you can shy away from it either. but i love the fact that she's been able to stay out of scandals; always being the prim and proper lady that i've known her to be.
some people say she's arrogant; i say she's just confident. who wouldn't be if you're that smart? her intelligence and wit may intimidate people, but i'm inspired by it. i try to be the same, and though i'm failing miserably, i still look up to her, i still think "what would lea do?" when i'm faced with tough decisions in my life.
her defining moment may have been miss saigon, but i'll always remember her as just lea. thank you, miss, for being a true inspiration!

Mother Teresa's prayer
got this from an email...
People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
... Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
... Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
... Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
... Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
... Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
... Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
... Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
... Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
We can do no great things - only small things with great love.

tim burton's alice in wonderland
saw alice in wonderland yesterday with my cousin... i have to say i had some trepidation in seeing this movie because i've heard so many bad things about it. critics were bashing it on twitter and i didn't want to be a part of that so i stopped. johnny depp, that's how much i love and adore you.
going back... i didn't get to start the movie because we came in late... my cousin NEEDED to smoke... whatever. so the part i actually got to watch was when the dad was talking to little alice in her room and when she and mother were going to the "party".
from there, i loved every single second of it all = from the time the white rabbit started pointing to his watch to the ending = this movie stayed true to the alice in wonderland i grew up knowing.
mia wasikowska stole the show. she plays the title character and i was just so taken by her, it was quite unexpected. i loved anne hathaway as the white queen, as always ~ she was perfection. her comedic timing is impeccable =) her gagging faces are genius! LOL helena bonham-carter was her usual amazing self as the red queen. the voice i recognized first was alan rickman's - it's unmistakable. he played absolom, the blue caterpillar. couldn't figure out who played the cheshire, though. but according to imdb.com, it was stephen fry = he was in v for vendetta and harry potter. apparently, they hired a lot of actors who appeared in the harry potter movies.
then there was johnny. mr. depp was superb as the mad hatter ~ his accent was perfect, the acting too. the green contacts bothered me though ~ i wonder how he got to act in those? it must've been horrible! they were bigger than his irises! i guess that goes to show how professional and wonderful he really is. i found myself fidgeting in my seat when 10-15 minutes into the movie, i still hadn't seen the hatter... then cheshire says he's going to lead alice to the hatter - and i was in heaven!
watching mr. depp, i couldn't help but think how he felt and what he thought while doing a lot of the acting on his own. the rabbit and the mouse were obviously CGI - even alice in some instances, when she's really tiny and really big.
because i'm currently strapped for cash, i was only able to watch this in the regular cinema ~ been wondering what it'd be like in 3D.
at the end of the day, i'd still recommend this to everybody ~ perfect for children =) and maybe, it'll get them to start (if they hadn't already) to read =) after all, this WAS conceptualized first in a book and re-imagined in film. one of tim burton's finest =)

the song that should play at my wedding
For you I give a lifetime of stability,
Anything you want of me
Nothing is impossible
For you there are no words or ways to show my love
Or all the thoughts I'm thinking of
'Cause this life is no good alone
Since we've become one I've made a change
Everything I do now makes sense, all roads end,
All I do is for you
For you I share the cup of love that overflows
And anyone who knows us knows
That I would change all faults I have
For you there is no low or high or in between
Of my heart that you haven't seen
'Cause I share all I have and am,
Nothing I've said's hard to understand
And all I feel I feel deeper still
And always will
All this love is for you
Every not that I play, every word I might say
Every melody I feel
Are only for you and your appeal
Every page that I write, everyday of my life
Would not be filled without the things
That my love for you now brings
For you I'd make a promise of fidelity,
Now and for eternity
No one could replace this vow
For you I'd take your hand and heart and everything
And add to them a wedding ring
'Cause this life is no good alone,
Since we've become one you're all I know
And if this feeling should leave I'd die
And here's why
All I am is for you
Everything I do know makes sense
All roads end and all I do....
Is for you
oh yeah for you
Anything you want of me
Nothing is impossible
For you there are no words or ways to show my love
Or all the thoughts I'm thinking of
'Cause this life is no good alone
Since we've become one I've made a change

wedding song
that's all - sweetest love song
I can only give you love that lasts forever
And a promise to be near each time you call,
And the only heart I own
For you and you alone,
That's all, that's all.
I can only give you country walks in springtime
And a hand to hold when leaves begin to fall,
And a love whose burning light
Will warm the winter night,
That's all, that's all.
There are those, I am sure, that have told you
They would give you the world for a toy.
All I have are these arms to enfold you
------------------------------------
And a love time can never destroy
-------------------------------------
If you're wondering what I'm asking in return, dear,
You'll be glad to know that my demands are small.
Say it's me that you'll adore
For now and ever more,
That's all, that's all.
And a promise to be near each time you call,
And the only heart I own
For you and you alone,

supernatural - my bloody valentine
ok, so i got to watch this episode last sunday/monday, i think the dead of night. i was super excited to see it because i was out of town during the weekend and i was itching to see this already, especially after seeing the promos =)
so i watch it and the first act consisted of a couple coming home from a date that went seemingly well, given that they were going at each other 10 seconds into the episode. then. this happened: they start BITING each other. so that made me gag a little, but it's all good. the next frame's of jared, so the cuteness and sexiness trumped the yucky factor ;) it will ALWAYS trump something!
going back... so sam winchester was alone in investigating the deaths because dean was apparently babysitting castiel or something... anyway, sam tells dean at the motel about the deaths, gory, yucky details included.
anyhoo, we find out from sam and dean posing as feds that the hearts of the victims had markings on them: similar to what castiel engraved (quite painfully) into their ribs at the beginning of the season. castiel figures out that it's cupid who's done it and may be responsible for the deaths in the city. after the real cupid dispels this theory, famine arrives. he is an old, frail man in a wheelchair who inflicts his powers by just being there. he makes people crave for what they have been lacking in life, what they've been hungry for ~ castiel keeps eating burgers and sam is hungry for demon blood again... but dean isn't hungry for anything.
dean and castiel try to kill famine but sam stays behind, asking to be handcuffed to the bathroom sink instead, to avoid drinking. dean and castiel try to fight off famine but are overpowered because he's got demons around him and castiel doesn't have much of his mojo.
meanwhile, sam is freed by two of the famine's demons and what ensues after that breaks my heart completely. sam drinks from their blood and goes to the restaurant where dean, cas and famine were. famine was busy lecturing dean when sam appears and kills him off. the episode ends with a scene that was reminiscent of "when the levee breaks" =(
overall, the episode is a must-see. it delves into the mythology even deeper than the last time and explores sam's and dean's exclusivity ~ sam's burgeoning powers and dean's slowly diminishing determination and strength to kill lucifer. march 25 is when supernatural comes back from a month-long hiatus and i can't wait to see what they've got in store for the boys, especially because the series has been picked up for season 6. happy hunting!

supernatural - the song remains the same
so i just saw supernatural's latest episode, the song remains the same. one word: WOW. i LOVE this show so much!!!
stand-out performances from the young mary and john winchester: amy gumenick and matt cohen (more on matt later) =) ever since their first appearance on supernatural during it's season 4 run, gumenick and cohen were clamored for and the fandom wanted them back so much that the writers decided to do just that with this, now season 5 episode. first off, these two's chemistry is just so palpable! i mean, i WISH they'd get married in real life, they're so made for each other! i guess they're amazing actors then, huh?
second would be the storyline and how they fit so snugly into it. it's a few years into their marriage with mary carrying a baby (the boys were brought back to the year 1979, so i'm guessing the baby's dean) but they're in trouble because angel anna (glenn close IRL according to cas) wants to kill mary and john so that sam wouldn't be born (BOO, by the way).
i'm not going to give away much of this because it's too yummy to spoil... anyway, going back to matt, he was FANTASTIC as one of the angels (he gets possessed by one). this was my pleasant surprise =) i LOVED every single moment of it!!! never ending goosebumps in this scene, i swear! this scene alone, with him as an angel talking to dean, is SO worth your while. another pivotal moment for cohen is his scene with jared as his son sam winchester. if you're a supernatural fan and have watched the show since day one, you'd know how precarious the relationship with sam and john was. the characters were constantly butting heads, and before john died, they never really got to patch things up completely between them. the scene with sam and young john completely undos all of that and i was really happy with it =) contented, you might say.
i'm worried for castiel. he's been weakened by his use of his time traveling powers and now he can barely stand up...
well, once again, this episode goes down as one of my favorites of the bunch. thank you kripke, supernatural writers, jared & jensen, misha, amy, matt and julie; thank you mr. boyum =)
the week that was...
...february 1-5, 2010...
done with the first 2 weeks of training. whew! i actually love this... i can't talk about the company that i'm working for now, but i have to say that i love everything about it. maybe it's the optimistic side of me, maybe it's the giddiness of having a new job. whatever it is, i'm glad it's making me happy =) it's been a long time since i've felt that way.
so i've met new friends and acquaintances (and i just found out i forgot to spell "acquaintances". eww.) and people from all levels and branches of the company. so far, really good, i have to say.

the happening... the WUHT???
so i stumbled on this movie while flipping the channels last weekend and decided to check it out. reasons for this? i love both mark wahlberg and zooey deschanel; i respect m. knight shyamalan; i wanted to see what this movie was all about.
first thing that confused me was the relationship between mark and zooey - they could've been brother and sister for all the chemistry they were trying so hard to suppress! bad casting, in my opinion. and even if you reason out that they were supposed to lack the chemistry because of some marital problems, they still should have exuded this "i love you, i loved you" kind of vibe. i guess i'm trying to say "yearning".
i didn't understand the "enemy/bad guy" too. there was no closure to the story, actually, never explained what the eff it was! and i don't buy that bullshit about plants! if you can only come up with that, then you're not the genius that i thought you were, mr. shyamalan. tsk, tsk.
there was ONE scary part. one. what does that say about this movie???
i'll end this by saying that if you want to be confused out of your mind and don't know what's going on and want subtle scares, go watch this film.

supernatural - swap meat
ok, it's been exactly a week since i last blogged... been busy with stuff and sleeping, haha!
got to watch SWAP MEAT from SUPERNATURAL last saturday and LOVED it!!! although i was actually expecting it to be sam AND dean who swapped meatsuits, i was pleasantly surprised with the way the story progressed.
plot: sam finds himself trapped inside a 17-year old boy's body and vice versa. dean has no clue as they were separated when the switcheroo happened. no bobby, no cas - just the boys. which worked out fine =) no complaints here!
what ensues is a hilarious take on BIG the movie... albeit, in reverse (LOL). i have to say that mr. padalecki has been getting the long end of the stick for the past couple of eps, and i am thoroughly enjoying every minute of it =D the scene where he goes to the bar and was being picked up by a woman and he says "i would LOVE to have the sex with you!" and with that look on his face?! PRICELESS!!! jared's acting chops have been just going through the roof! FANtasTIC!
i loved that robert singer directed this particular episode and that it wasn't repetitive or self-destructive at all. i guess the writers deliberately made the body swap as sam and another person vs. sam and dean because we've (the fandom) been begging for it to happen that they just wanted to give us a taste of it. i think that last sentence should've ended with a question mark. wee!
jensen ackles had downplayed dean in this episode, probably knowing that it was jared's storyline and that he was respectful in that way that he didn't try to outshine his "crutch" (this in his own words). another solid episode for the supernatural geniuses!!!

sam, interrupted
so i saw SAM,INTERRUPTED last saturday and gotta say was thoroughly entertained by it =) based on the trailer and video clips, i was already kinda expecting a take on the cuckoo's nest or something, but it had some really funny and interesting moments.
the faves:
1) when sam and dean were trying to "explain" to the doctor why sam should be institutionalized... LOL!
2) when dean (and then SAM) gets molested =)
3) sam puppy drugged. YES!
interesting point: sam's anger. he displays it upon attacking what he thought to have been the monster of the week. it's like hulk on double shots of steroids and PCP. each. it will obviously be touched on again in future episodes since dean dismissed it after sam brought it up while they were trying to escape the nuthouse.
~~~ two is better than one, now playing =) ~~~
didn't know too much about their guest, john winchester's hunter friend who checked himself into "hotel california" ;)
loved the pop culture references too: one flew over the cuckoo's nest, hotel california, eagles, rain man... i'll try to re-watch to see if i missed any more, but you get it, right? RIGHT?
one disappointment was that they didn't pick up where they left off. i don't know how they (SPN writers, producers) plan the episodes out, but from what i understand and saw from a previous interview, one of the writers/producers said that they follow sweeps. for those not in the know, the U.S. television programming is a lot more complicated than it looks. first off, there's their calendar: summer is from june/july to august (summer hiatus) and new seasons of existing tv shows/new shows start airing in september, then short hiatus maybe between november to december (depending on the network and show, really) and then they continue the series' season from january until april, sometimes may - again depending on how many episodes the show was given.
anyway, before i digress any further, i wish they'd at least brought up what happened the LAST TIME. uh... jo and ellen. died. so the boys can gank lucifer. which they ALMOST did, but turns out, lucifer is invincible to the colt's powers, so there. back to square one. i hope the next episode brings back at least SOME of the main plot. crossing fingers.
all the same, in the end, this was a strong episode =) aren't they running out of ideas already?? you're awesome as usual, SPN team!!! *BLOOP!* (pinches nose) HEH!
night out with friends =)
so my friends from grade school and i met up last tuesday at uncle cheffy's in eastwood. considering that we haven't seen each other for such a LONG time, i would say this was the sweetest gathering ever =)
i was up at 4am already but i couldn't sleep again because i think i've inadvertently converted my body clock back to daytime (long story!)... so anyway, i was up for an interview and contract signing at 8am and was scheduled to meet up with my friend at 3pm. one hitch just screwed my schedule and i was late to the said meeting with friend.
i had to get one last document from my previous employer to complete the requirements i had to submit to sign the contract and start on monday (jan 25th) - so i had to go back to that previous employer, then go back to my new one and wait for the contract signing thing and then meet up with my friend - who ended up picking me up at around 5:30pm. nice huh? yuck.
so we go straight to eastwood mall to meet up wth another friend, chris - who had already ordered a nutella + banana crepe. yum. we then headed to uncle chuffy's where we waited for everybody else to arrive. nina and charlie arrived first, followed by batchi then pam then the guest of honor, ina, then jill, and lastly, isay with her gf =)
my followed a few hours later because she was coming from work, which ended at 10pm. we hung out at starbucks and waited for montero to call, which she did, thankfully.
the evening was fun and funny, i wasn't able to enjoy it that much because i was so dead tired from having to run errands all day and going to and from different locations. sigh!
i hope to have pics up soon. =)
ok, so ever since i was in grade school, i've always been fascinated with the world of radio. i remember listening to it for hours on end, killing my walkman's batteries every single time. this was when i was exposed to r&b, hiphop, rock, rap, classical, jazz, the works. then i was intrigued by the prospect of introducing the songs... i didn't know that there's an actual job for that, i just thought people who were on the radio were newscasters too ugly to go on tv or that the music was being played by a lonely robot machine that was programmed at the start of the day. boy, was i WAY off!
so this year, i'm going to try and become one of them. i don't know what they exactly do, but i hope i have what it takes to do it =)
what should the title of my show be? what should my call sign be? i know what i'll talk about on the show, even the music i'll play... should i have guests on? hmm, let me see if i can radio-fy my blog...
tune in next week!
