why did i pick this movie even though i had seen some of the blockbusters of the year? simple. that's it, that's my answer. the movie was simple - and i loved the bleeding heck out of it!
first off, it reeled me in with its totally AMAZING, incredibly AWESOME cast :) zooey deschanel is one of my most favorite actresses! she is love. a little background on how i discovered her and fell in love with her: almost famous. nuff said.
then there's the REAL love of my life: joseph gordon-levitt. oh. hell. yeah. this guy is just fantastic! i have to admit that i was kinda surprised by the casting of this dude, but when i saw the trailer, then the movie, i knew why they chose him :D
i won't get into the plot because if you're reading this, - and that in itself is a shock - you would know that this movie is a genius of a film. it reminded me of eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. mind you, it had a minor glitch (case in point: the freaking ending!), but in the end, i had a blast watching it and crying and reacting and laughing all the way through it :) :) :)
i have to say that for his first film, marc webb did an outstanding job. good for you, marc webb! i hope you do more of these and not fall into the pitholes of "hollywood" stereotypical indie-movie-filmmaker-turn-superstar-mega-ass-kissing-hotshot-director! BOO if that happens! <> moving on.
so i gave you the hook and the line, here's the sinker: the music in this movie is freaking ridiculous! it's so awesome!!! i am so happy for films like this and for shows like SUPERNATURAL (yes, i promote them every chance i get - that's how much i love JARED and JENSEN, ok?) - they have opened up my mind and ears to really spectacular music! HOORAY for you!
